Albus
Albus urboped is the conceptual work of the Barney Studio team. In 2020, we began the digital and conceptual development of an electric cargo bike project that would feature the attributes of a safe urban vehicle much more than a bicycle, and much more than competing cargo bikes. With this work, which we even physically manufactured in a smaller scale, we made it to the official Slovak stand at EXPO 2020 in Dubai.

For the Albus urboped concept, we focused on creating an urban vehicle designed to transport deliveries in areas where conventional vehicles are prohibited. In addition to evoking conventional vehicles, it was to put the emphasis on the rider, who was thus to be absolutely safe even in regular traffic.
Albus urboped prototype was printed on a 3D printer and the concept made it to the official Slovak stand at Dubai EXPO 2020. Our project was a success and at one time we were even “threatened” by the arrival of an investor, but in the end we decided to leave the project in the conceptual phase. The whole development was done in-house.
