The Children's Storefront
The Challenge
The Children’s Storefront is one of the oldest nonprofits dedicated to supporting children in Manhattan in New York City. The visual identity and website previously used by the organization no longer reflected its current values and mission. It was necessary to create a new visual identity and website that would bring TCS up to date and make it stand out in the bustling environment of Manhattan. The ultimate goal, of course, is to encourage parents with children to feel comfortable reaching out and accepting support.
Our Solution
We created a unique branding for the organization, positioning it as influential and capable of supporting those in need. The purple color symbolizes wisdom and abundance—whether mental or material. Combined with blue and white, it creates a unique and trustworthy look that remains playful and avoids a corporate feel. We incorporated complementary colors to reflect the vibrancy of a child’s world. The visual identity represents the protection of children by adults. This is completed with unique illustrations of children and buildings, representing what TCS does.
In the same spirit, we designed a modern, updated website. The visual elements of the site reflect the identity we created. We took care of UX tuning, UI, and the final design. Key elements include readability, playfulness, and strong CTA support for donations.
